Kewpie represents a character, originally from America and well-known in the 1900s both in America and in Japan. The choice of the name Kewpie for our company and our products is based on the hope that Japanese society will love Kewpie products as much as they loved the Kewpie character in those days.

Although they are both emulsified sauces, mayonnaise and dressing nonetheless represent two different sauce products. Mayonnaise contains more fat, which makes it heavier than dressing.
